Participation awards (applications closed)
Young researcher participation awards: In case the presenting author is a PhD student, or has a PhD completed in 2018 or after, this author is eligible for a full waiver of registration fees.

VPH2020 Conference awards
The VPH2020 Conference will confer:
- 5 student poster awards
- 5 young investigator presentation awards (PhD defended in 2016 and later)
These awards (in the form of a diploma) will be announced and given during the closing session. They will be selected by an electronic vote of all the scientific committee members. More detail will be provided to all participants upon confirmation of registration.
RESULTS: in view of the ballot count and the presence of multiple exaequo candidates, the number of awards has been slightly changed as follows:
- 6 student poster awards: ANTONINI Luca, BRIDIO Sara, GUSSEVA Maria, GUVENIR Su, MILANOVIC Selena, MOLLO Pierre
- 4 young investigator presentation awards: CICCHETTI Alessandro, DE NISCO Giuseppe, PAGE Gwenael, REGAZZONI Francesco
In addition, a similar vote will be used to select presentations for which an invitation will be sent to submit a full paper for a special issue of Annals of Biomedical Engineering.
VPH Institute awards
During the VPH2020 conference, the VPH Institute will confer 2 PhD awards (follow links for detail and applications):
- 2020 Best VPHi Thesis Award in In Silico Medicine
- 2020 VPHi-InSilicoTrials PhD Thesis Award in In Silico Medicine for potential application in industrial R&D
Both awardees will receive a prize of 1000€ and will give a plenary lecture during the conference.
In addition, all the VPH Institute student members selected for an oral presentation at the VPH2020 conference will be eligible for the Best VPHi student award granted by the VPH Institute during the conference. The awardee will receive a prize of 500€. See the dedicated page for detailed participation rules.

- all PhD students who are registered attendees at the conference may enrol
- format: 180 seconds (strict timing) live (not pre-recorded) summary presentation of PhD work / 3 slides maximum
- schedule: Aug. 25th 19:30 Paris time
- selection: all attendees can vote using the webinar poll system / all conference registered participants can attend
- best two presentations get a prize (typical value 200€ each) awarded by the VPH2020 organizing committee
- applications: more detail provided upon confirmation of registration
